In the future, cars have become a distant, gas-guzzling memory. The car culture of the 20th century has been replaced by giant mecharobots. To prepare kids for this new mecha-robotic world, traditional high school has been replaced with specialty vocational schools.
MechAcademy is one of the top SpaceMech Pilot training programs in the country. Aspiring young pilots come from all over to study, but only the best of the best will earn their Outer Rim Wings.
With a wink and nod to the mecharobot genre, MECHACADEMY playfully pokes fun at giant robot conventions against the familiar backdrop of high school. Obnoxious jocks. Preppy cheerleaders. Over-zealous military cadets. Deranged teachers. Insanely hard classes. The staples of everyday high school life are taken to hilarious new extremes with the addition of great big robots.
